What Kind of Music do you book? |

Acoustic Folk is the short answer.
There are a ton of places that have rock music aournd here, its not that we dont like rock, but we wanted to provide something differant. We are always looking for acoustic acts that do folk or folk blues. We really are not looking for predominately country acts at this time.
Ok, if your still with me...Heres what we aren't looking for:
- Solid body electric guitars...This is an acoustic venue, and we want to keep it that way. We might make exceptions from time to time, but for the most part we are pretty firm on this. That doesn't mean plug your ovation acoustic electric into a tube screamer pedal to make it sound like an electric. Were not looking for loop holes, were serious about this. We aren't just phobic about solid body guitars, we really are looking for a particular sound. We do have an acoustic-electric bass you can borrow if you need a bass.
- Drums. Not in the traditional sense.
- Country. There are lots of venues for country but we aren't really one of them. A song or two is ok, but if its your main act then its probably not going to go over well here.
- Experimental stuff. I love experimental and unusual music. I even had a Tomita song playing during my wedding, but stuff that's too out there doesn't go over well with our customers. We've tried.
- Excessively adult oriented content. We aren't into censorship by any means, but people do occasionally bring there kids here and we want everyone to feel like its a place they can go to without having to worry about what jr. is going to repeat in school the next day.
